Cabin Living History
The
78th PVI, Co. F and the Butler County Historical Society hosted a
Civil War living history at the Cooper Cabin for the first time since 2000.
Also present for weekend were several members of the 63rd PA,
19th OH Light Artillery, and the Southern Guard.
Public demonstrations and displays during the weekend included
Confederate and Federal pickets, artillery drill, infantry drill and firing,
weapons and equipment, and camp gear. The
Butler County Historical Society also gave tours of Cooper Cabin, part of which
pre-dates the Civil War.

who lived in the cabin during the Civil War was a member of Co. D, 137th
PA.
