Hale
Farm Re-enactment
On August 12, several members of the 78th PVI,
Co. F attended the annual re-enactment at Hale Farm and Village.
For something different, members combined with our fellow Company B
members of the 23rd OH and 63rd PA to field a Confederate
company under the direction of Captain Sutliff.
The weather was perfect and the village provided a unique setting for the
event. This being the first time to
Hale Farm, the 78th members were quite pleased with the experience.
After
the morning drill, muskets were stacked in the camp.
Several
guys enjoy a chat in the shade.
The
company gathers near the stacks shortly before formation.
The
Federals counterattacks during the afternoon engagement.
The
guys enjoy cold root beer at the Flying Turtle.
Members of the 78th pose for a photo during the afternoon. From left to right: Aaron Hooks, Mike Valasek, Greg Kaszei, and Mike Huston.
