Sgt. Charles Smith Dedication

September 30, 2007 at Sarverville , PA  

Members of the 78^th PVI, Co. F gathered at St. Paul ’s Luthern Church cemetery for the dedication of a new headstone at the grave of Sgt. Charles Smith.  During the Civil War, Charles Smith served in Co. H, 78^th PVI and was wounded at the Battle of Stones River.  Smith’s great-grandson, Chuck McClafferty, was present for the dedication.
