Sgt. Charles Smith Dedication

September 30, 2007 at Sarverville , PA  

Members of the 78th PVI, Co. F gathered at St. Paul ’s Luthern Church cemetery for the dedication of a new headstone at the grave of Sgt. Charles Smith.  During the Civil War, Charles Smith served in Co. H, 78th PVI and was wounded at the Battle of Stones River.  Smith’s great-grandson, Chuck McClafferty, was present for the dedication.
