Third Corps Reunion

May 20-22 at Gettysburg

        Companies representing units of the 3rd Corps from the United States Volunteers, National Regiment, and the Mifflin Guard came together for the first ever Third Corps Reunion on the Gettysburg battlefield.  Participants came as far away as Maine to experience this unique experience.  One of the highlights of the weekend was camping at the Pennsylvania Monument.  Event Report 

Units from the 3rd Corps gather at Emmitsburg , MD before beginning the 9-mile march to Gettysburg .  The march followed the route of de Trobriand and Burling's Brigades.

On Saturday evening, a college professor from China stopped by our camp to talk for a few minutes.  It was a unique experience to hear her interest in American history and talking to her was one of the highlights of the weekend.
